Carcone's Recycling Awarded by Fire Dept. Print E-mail
Monday, 12 October 2009
Aurora Councilor - Al Wilson Claudio Russo Michael Carcone Fire Chief - John Molyneaux Deputy Fire Chief - Paul Leslie.  411 Crew – FF - Ken Gibb Captain - Rob Leathen FF - James Odell Acting Captain - Mike Joy.AURORA ON -- October 12 2009 -- Have you heard the old expression "What goes around comes around"? We've recently been informed of a dramatic example of the truth of this old maxim.

For many years the staff at Carcone's Auto Recycling in Aurora Ontario have helped the local fire department by providing vehicles needed for training new people or for learning how to use new equipment. The facility has even received an award for its efforts.

"They've been coming quite regularly in the last few months" says Michael Carcone of Carcone's Auto Recycling. "Our staff can see the lengths that these fine people go through when called to an accident scene."

Watching firefighters practice the techniques they'll need to use when they're called to an accident scene can be very exciting. Unfortunately for two employees of Carcone's Auto Recycling Cliff Hynes and Chris Donkers less than two weeks ago they had an opportunity to see the techniques up close and personal. Thanks to the timely action of the local fire department one is now recovering at home and the other is recovering at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
